THE STANDARD PLAN

As an enrollee under the Standard Plan, you will have access to an integrated healthcare delivery system, a concept which emphasizes the delivery of primary, secondary and tertiary health care services under one umbrella. By doing so, we are able to provide seamless health care to our enrollees nationwide.

COVERED SERVICES

The services that are covered under the Standard Plan are:

OUTPATIENT & SPECIALIST CONSULTATION

v  General medical consultations and treatment.

v  Specialist medical and surgical consultations by consultation physician, pediatrician, obstetrician/ gynecologist or general surgeon as required.

v  Provision of prescribed drugs and medication form the hospital pharmacy.

v  Specialist and non-specialist diagnosis and treatment of secondary and tertiary conditions.

v  Immunization: this involves routine immunizations included in the National Programme Immunization e.g.

BGC � against tuberculosis

DPT � against diphtheria, pertusis & Tetanus Measles vaccines

Oral Polio � against poliomyelitis

VitA supplementation

IN-PATIENT CARE

v  Provision of Hospital Accommodation in the general Ward.

v  Feeding for an enrollee that requires admission.

v  Nursing and medical services.

v  Diagnosis and treatment of medical and surgical condition.

v  Specialist and non-specialist diagnosis and treatment of Secondary and Tertiary conditions.

v  Emergency room services and minor out-patient surgical procedures such as suturing of lacerations and drainage of abscesses.

Physiotherapy and physical rehabilitation simple appliances (including cervical collar and crutches).Gynecological treatment not relates to infertility.

X-RAYS

v  Plans x-rays of all parts of the body

Ultrasound Scanning: c Scans

v  Abdominal & Pelvi

DIAGNOSTIC LABORATORY TEST

          For Haematology

v  Clinical chemistry

v  Liver function test

v  Renal function tests

v  Antibody titres e.g. widal test

Urine for clinical chemistry

v  Blood, urine and various swabs for microbiology

v  Histopathology of  excised biopsy

OPERATING THEATRE SERVICES FOR MINOR, INTERMEDIATE SURGERY

v  Exclusion of various lumps

v  Repair of hernia

v  Appendectomy

v  Closed reduction and manipulation of simple fracture

v   Ear, Nose and Throat procedures such as antral washout, antrostomy and tonsillectomy.

MATERNITY (Antenatal care and Delivery)

v  12 Standard ante natal case visits and drugs (Haematinics)

v  Delivery (normal, assisted/caesarean section)

v  Admission and hospital stay

v  Neonatal care ( 4 weeks cover for newborn baby )

EXCLUSIONS

The areas of medical care that are not are not presently covered under Standard Plan are as follows:

v  Evacuation: ( Hospital to hospital; road-side to hospital )

v  *Intensive care treatment such as for myocardial infarction (heart attack), severe burns, complex major surgery.

v  Cytotoxic (anti-cancer) drugs and radiotherapy

v  Plastic/cosmetic surgery

v  Expensive physiotherapeutic appliances, supply and repair of artificial limbs

v  Specific treatment of AID/HIV positive patients

v  Expensive gyneacological investigations and treatment for problems relating to infertility.

v  Expensive radiological and other investigations such as CT SCAN, MRI, Myelogram, E.C.G etc.  

v  Overseas treatment and transplant surgery

v  Embalmment and autopsy

v  Optical care

v  Dental care
